*Robert Chettle Jnr did not marry and continued to live and work at Welby, John Chettle is our direct ancestor and he came to Leicester as an Apprentice of his Uncle (Samuel Shipley). Robert Chettle Jnr is his Will left his estate to his Brother John's children:- Robert, John & Anne. It is presumed that his Brother was dead by this time.

My Nephew Robert Chettle of Leicester Gardner, my cottage in Ab Kettleby in the tenure of John Price which a lately purchased off John Read. My Niece Ann Warburton of Leicester my Leicester messuage whereas she now lives £10. Residue to my Nephew John Chettle and make him executor. On 27 April 1750.

Note:
As will bee seen later, Robert Chettle's Nephew Robert did not take up the living in Welby, instead his Brother John took the living and he married the witness to Robert Chettle's Will and raised a Family in Welby and then Ab Kettleby.
