John Chettle Buried: Elizabeth Chettle Buried:

*In the register for Robert Chettle he is listed as the Son of John & Ann
*Anne Chettle Married John Warburton on 8 April 1744 at All Saints in Loughborough.

There is a record of a burial at St Margaret's Church Leicester that reads as follows: 7 January 1747, Edith Chettle. There is no record of an Edith Chettle being born so it could be one of John's children or more likely his Wife (name wrongly entered).

There is not a lot of information on John Chettle, but he probably came to Leicester as an apprentice of his Uncle around 1700 and Married soon after being made a Freeman in 1711/1712.

He died before 1746/1750.

Our line continues with our direct ancestor, Robert Chettle.
