George Rodney Chettle - 2nd Son of George Rodney and Ann

Born - 1840, 24 April at Lambeth, London, in hospital at York Road, Waterloo.
1851 Census - Aged 10 living with parents at 105 Belgrave Gate, Leicester.
Occupation - Royal Navy, Assistant Hairdresser.
1861 Census - Does not appear on the census parents living at 65 Belgrave Gate, Leicester.

Marriage -
1866 aged 26 on May 22nd at St Margarets Church, Leicester to Eliza Dexter aged 25.
Occupation - Served aboard HMS Pearl and was entitled to the Indian Mutiny Medal 1857, this is probably why he died young aged 28 (disease) also worked as an Assistant Hairdresser.

Children - None recorded
Death - 1868 aged 27 (should be 28) buried on December 3rd at Welford Road Cemetery. He and Eliza were living at Upper Conduit Street, Leicester, which is behind London Road Railway Station, Leicester.

George Rodney's Mother Ann Chettle was buried on December 17th 1867. His Father George Rodney Chettle (Snr) then Married Mary Dexter, who was the Mother in Law of this George Rodney (Jnr). Mary Dexter was 51 and a Widow and they Married on April 25th 1870 at St Margarets Church, Leicester.
